Creating and managing Reports in Usermaven
Usermaven's Reports feature allows you to generate and schedule regular analytics summaries for your team. This guide will walk you through creating, customizing, and managing reports.
Creating a new Report
- Navigate to the Reports section in the left sidebar menu.
- Click the "Create Report" button in the top right corner.
- In the "Create Report" modal:
- Enter a name for your report (e.g., "Web Analytics Dashboard")
- Select the type of report (e.g., "Key Summary Web Analytics")
- Choose the schedule (Daily, Weekly, or Monthly)
- Select "Email" as the notification channel
- Next, set the delivery time. You can choose the time of day for the report to be sent. The timezone appearing here will be the one you have set in Workspace Settings > General > Workspace Timezone.
- Add recipient email addresses. You can type or paste email addresses into the field and add multiple recipients too, as per your need.
- Click "Create Report" to save your new report configuration
Managing existing Reports
In the Reports dashboard, you'll see a list of your configured reports. For each report, you can:
- View the schedule (e.g., "Every Monday at 11:00 AM")
- See when the report was created and by whom
- Use the toggle switch to enable or disable the report
To modify a report:
- Click the three-dot menu next to the report name
- Select from options:
- Edit: Modify report settings
- Pause: Temporarily stop the report
- Delete: Permanently remove the report
Best practices
- Start with a weekly or monthly report to avoid overwhelming your inbox
- Include only the most relevant team members as recipients
- Regularly review and update your reports to ensure they remain useful
- Use descriptive names for your reports to easily identify their purpose
